A Teenager Talks To Her Drinking Buddies To Learn More Information About Alcohol Addiction And Alcohol Abuse

Heather drank quite often and quite a lot with her drinking pals. One Tuesday after all her classes were completed, she started reflecting on the amount of alcohol she ingested on a fairly regular basis and the excessive drinking of her buddies. As a consequence of this, she asked all of her drinking pals the following question: "what do we really know about binge drinking, alcohol poisoning, alcoholism, and alcohol abuse? Stated more precisely, how much alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse information do we honestly know? For our age, we clearly drink in an excessive and abusive manner and I am beginning to wonder if all of us are headed for a life filled with alcohol-associated problems when we become adults.

I believe we should go online and find out all we can about binge drinking, alcoholism, alcohol abuse, and alcohol poisoning. And then if we have any relevant questions that we do not understand after we finish our online research, we can drive to the student health center at the college and ask Nurse Sesny to help us understand what we cannot comprehend.

It should not come as a complete shock that what Heather mentioned would instigate a heated discussion. For instance, her best friend since her junior year in high school, Yasmin, stated that they are too healthy and too young to be worried about excessive and hazardous drinking. Another drinking buddy named Trevor stated that since most high school students drink there is no solid reason why they should be any different. Another drinking pal named Keira said that all she wants to do is to have fun drinking with her pals. And still another classmate named Ramon in truth agreed with Heather primarily because both of his parents abused alcohol and both of his parents had a history of alcohol related difficulties.

Heather told her classmates that she comprehended everything that they had said but that engaging in abusive and irresponsible drinking at such a susceptible age in reality cannot be very healthy or something that contributes toward developing a meaningful life. When a few of her drinking pals asked what kind of alcohol difficulties Heather was discussing, Heather mentioned the following: alcohol-related problems like alcoholism, alcohol-related traffic accidents and fatalities, and alcohol poisoning (which can be fatal in some instances) and alcohol-related diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and cirrhosis of the liver.

When Heather then articulated that abusive and careless drinking typically results in financial, relationship, school, and legal problems, some of her drinking pals finally started to understand how wide-ranging and how devastating careless drinking can be. Undeniably some of her buddies became more open and started to disclose how these alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse effects had adversely affected their parents and some of their friends.

After highlighting some of the alcoholism and alcohol abuse problems that are related to abusive and irresponsible drinking, the vast majority of her friends seemed to agree to the idea about getting information on the web. They were, however, apprehensive about discussing their drinking circumstances with the administrators at school. As Heather thought about this she told herself, "at least they are open to finding out more about their abusive and irresponsible drinking. This is a very fine start."
